Specific Job Description
The successful candidate will perform as part of the End-User Technology team for our infrastructure services contract in Alexandria, VA. The program is responsible for network engineering, network management, VoIP, all production servers (Windows/UNIX/Linux including File/Print and application servers), storage/backups, BCP, Service Desk, Desktop Support, Patch management, and remote access services.

This position requires excellent and proven attention to details, process and discipline for production environment IT Operations and a willingness to work in a complex and dynamic environment. It requires the commitment to completing the job on time with quality results. A commitment to overall job success and task ownership utilizing and working with the members of all program teams is required. The candidate must demonstrate sound technical skills minimally including:

1. Daily operations related to the management and maintenance of the workstation infrastructure in the production environment, to include:
a. Deploying antivirus definitions to workstations and servers
b. Software deployment to workstations
2. Task based activities
a. Development, maintenance, and management of core desktop foundation/image
b. Packaging, testing, and management of applications for automated distribution
c. Researching and preparing recommendations for improved management and maintenance of the workstation infrastructure

Required Skills
Demonstrated experience with central management of software deployment technologies
Demonstrated experience with central management of Removable Media Encryption technologies
Demonstrated experience with deploying antivirus definitions to workstations and servers
Demonstrated experience with application packaging methodologies and technologies
Desired Skills
Demonstrated experience with central management of software deployment technologies, including SMS and BigFix,
Demonstrated experience with central management of McAfee VirusScan Entrprise through ePO management
Demonstrated experience with application packaging methodologies and technologies, including BigFix and SMS.

Duration: Six month temp to perm.
